Realistic Art made with balloons

The goal of any balloon artist is to create a recognizable likeness and image of something that already exists.

My goal, as a balloon artist, was to use balloons to create a memorable art piece that goes beyond the traditional "balloon dog".  In this piece, I explore the area of "pop culture" by using 8,460 hand rolled balloons to create a portion of a famous George Seurat painting.
It is almost to scale with the original Seurat painting.

History:
Neo-Impressionist, George Seurat is credited with creating pointillism (a form of art that uses painted dots of color to blend into a recognizable image). In this work, I make my own impression on Seurat's most famous work "Sunday on LaGrande Jatte" using each balloon to create a "dot".
Then those series of dots create the image similar to Seurat's painting.

I see this as an impression of an impressionist,  using pointillism style to illustrate pointillism and a balloon artist making balloon art.   Even a pun is created by the fact that famous art is called "Pop Art" and art made from balloons can "pop".
